Public Tour

Your family can join a guided exploration of the North Carolina Museum of Art's People's Collection during this one-hour tour. A museum docent will lead you through the West Building, showcasing thousands of years of art and cultural artifacts. Depending on the docent leading that day, the tour might focus on specific galleries, highlight particular artists, or teach visitors about the basic principles and elements of art itself. This is a wonderful option whether it's your first time at the museum, you're looking for something to do after grabbing lunch at the café, or you simply want to learn more about the collection. Everyone is welcome to attend, from young children to grandparents. Best of all, admission is completely free. Just plan to meet your assigned docent at the public tour sign in the West Building when you arrive.
