Rage Retreat with Redbud Writing Project
Rage Retreat with Redbud Writing Project at Museum Park, Welcome Center
Join Redbud Writing Project founders Emily and Arshia for a hands-on two-hour workshop exploring how writers can harness anger as a creative tool. This session examines anger not as something to shy away from, but as a powerful force that can fuel meaningful storytelling. Through guided writing prompts and in-class exercises, you'll practice turning emotional intensity into vivid, compelling prose while learning craft techniques for shaping raw feeling into polished narrative.
The workshop covers voice, structure, and emotional clarity—skills useful whether you're working on memoir, fiction, or personal essays. All experience levels are welcome, from those just beginning to write to seasoned authors. General admission is $40, with a discounted rate of $30 for museum members. Redbud Writing Project is a Raleigh-based nonprofit dedicated to making creative writing accessible to everyone in the community through classes, events, and scholarship opportunities.
