Reading Time with Ms. Chloe

Ms. Chloe offers personalized reading support for young learners at the Main Library's Children's Area. Each child gets a dedicated 20-minute session focused on reading practice and blending skills—whether they need extra help building confidence with phonics or just want more time reading aloud with an encouraging adult. You can bring your child's favorite book, or Ms. Chloe will select age-appropriate titles to match their reading level. This program works best for preschool and kindergarten students, including those in Durham Public Schools. Registration is required through the library's appointment system, and you'll need to book a specific time slot. While parents don't need to actively participate in the session, you must stay on the children's floor during your child's appointment. Keep in mind that missing two consecutive appointments will result in cancellation of remaining month's slots. For questions, reach out to chloebullock@dconc.gov.
