
Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands
Explore a scenic wetland trail with storytelling at Nixon Park.
Take your family on a self-guided adventure through Nixon Park's natural areas. Starting from the parking lot, you'll follow story pages that lead you across the wetland bridge and into the forest. As you walk the trail, read the pages of the story unfold around you—it's a creative way to explore the outdoors while enjoying a narrative experience. This activity works well for families with kids of various ages and is available daily during regular park hours.
The trail is completely free to enjoy. If you're planning to visit with a group of 10 or more people, registration is required. Simply call (717) 428-1961 x1 or email NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov with your name, number of participants, children's ages, and a contact number. It's a wonderful low-cost outing that combines nature, storytelling, and outdoor exploration all in one visit.
