Science Detectives: Green Plants
Hands-on science workshop about plants and photosynthesis at the museum.
Your young scientist will spend an hour exploring the wonderful world of plants through hands-on activities and role-playing exercises. Participants will get up close with plant structures, discover how different plants adapt to various environments, and develop a deeper understanding of why plants are green. This class is specifically designed for homeschool students and those on track-out schedules, allowing for more in-depth learning than a typical program.
The program is best suited for children ages 8–10. Registration costs $12 per child ($9 for museum members), and you'll need to register at least 48 hours before the event. While this is a drop-off program, one adult must remain in the museum during the session. If you need to cancel, refunds are available only if the museum cancels or if you submit a written cancellation request at least two weeks ahead.
