Skywatching: Views from The Durham

Head to the rooftop for an evening of stargazing with the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Educators will guide you through telescopic views of the night sky, with this session focusing on the waxing crescent moon and Venus. While you're learning about the cosmos, DJ Skylan will provide live music to set the mood. The event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and admission is completely free and open to all ages. The Roof opens at 5 p.m. if you'd like to arrive early and soak in the downtown Durham views from above. You can enjoy shareable plates and craft cocktails while you wait for the stargazing to begin—try the special "Saturn" cocktail offered all evening.
