Spellbound 2026

Paper & Stars Studio is hosting a Halloween-themed market celebration for families at Mordecai Historic Park. Kids can show off their costumes in a parade and contest, create seasonal crafts, decorate pumpkins to take home, and enjoy interactive activities like fortune telling and magic performances. The event features vendor booths selling handmade goods and treats, plus family-friendly entertainment on an outdoor stage. This is a daytime event designed to be fun and spooky without scary elements—no horror, gore, weapons, or full face masks. Admission is free, and while registration isn't required to attend, the organizers encourage families to sign up online so they can receive event updates and important information. The event runs for four hours and is presented in partnership with Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources. Paper & Stars Studio creates literary-themed events and products for the community, and this celebration is part of their Wonderstruck Festivals series.
