Spooky Story Contest: 3rd-8th Grades

3rd–8th graders submit spooky stories in a contest to share with the library community.

Here's the event description: Kids in grades 3 through 8 are invited to participate in the Spooky Story Contest at the library. This is a great opportunity for young writers to flex their creative muscles by crafting and submitting their own eerie tales. Whether your child enjoys ghost stories, mysterious adventures, or tales that send shivers down the spine, this contest welcomes all kinds of spooky storytelling. It's a fun way for kids to share their imagination with the library community during the Halloween season. The contest runs through mid-October, giving students plenty of time to brainstorm and write their stories. This is an excellent activity for children who love creative writing and enjoy the excitement of Halloween. Stop by the library to learn more about how to enter and what the submission requirements are.
