STEAM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities
Explore STEAM careers and meet professionals at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
This is the 13th annual STEAM Career Showcase, a free event designed for middle and high school students with disabilities. You'll have the chance to meet professionals who work in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math fields and also live with disabilities. They'll share their personal career stories and the strategies they've used to succeed, giving your student real-world insights into different STEAM paths.
The three-hour event includes a keynote presentation, an opportunity fair where students can talk with exhibitors from organizations like NC State's Catalyst program and the Autism Society of North Carolina, and a panel discussion. ASL interpretation and live captions will be provided throughout. If attending in person isn't possible, the welcome and keynote speeches will be livestreamed. Registration is required and closes on October 9th. There's no cost to participate.
