Storytime and Playtime at Southern

Your little ones will enjoy a 25-minute program led by library staff featuring stories, songs, and movement activities designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Bring your child and a caregiver to engage together in an interactive experience. The program kicks off at 10:30am, and afterward, there's an extra hour of playtime from 11am to noon hosted by Carrboro Parks and Recreation, complete with a variety of toys for children to explore. This event is completely free and doesn't require any advance sign-up—just show up and join in. You'll find the activities in various rooms on the first floor of the library complex; staff at the information desks can point you toward the right location. As always, children need to stay with their adult caregivers throughout the event. It's a great way to spend a morning combining literacy activities with unstructured play.
