Storytime and Playtime at Southern

Your little ones are invited to enjoy a morning of stories, songs, and movement led by Southern Branch librarians. The half-hour program is designed for toddlers and preschoolers with their caregivers, offering a gentle introduction to storytelling and interactive learning together. After the 25-minute storytime wraps up, stick around for an hour of open playtime with Carrboro Parks and Recreation. Kids can explore a variety of toys in a supervised play space. The entire event is completely free and doesn't require advance registration—just show up and have fun. Keep in mind that children need to stay with their adult caregiver throughout the program. Staff at the information desk can point you toward the right room on the library's first floor when you arrive.
