Storytime and Playtime at Southern

Your little ones will love this two-part morning at the library! It kicks off with a 25-minute storytime led by Southern Branch librarians, featuring stories, songs, and movement activities perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Your child gets to enjoy the program alongside you and other families in a welcoming environment. After storytime wraps up, stick around for an hour of playtime with Carrboro Parks and Recreation from 11am to noon. The team brings plenty of toys for kids to explore and play with freely. Best of all, both the storytime and playtime portions are completely free and don't require any advance registration—just show up! Remember that children need to stay with their supervising adult throughout the entire visit. You'll find the activities in various rooms on the first floor; the information desk can point you in the right direction.
