Teen Short Film Challenge @ Gibsonville Public Library (Ages 13–18)

Six-week filmmaking challenge: write, shoot & edit a short film.

Is your teen interested in filmmaking? This six-week summer program invites middle and high school students to collaborate on creating their own short film from start to finish. Participants will tackle writing, design, filming, and editing—learning hands-on filmmaking skills while working as part of a team. It's a great way to explore a creative hobby with peers and build something you can be proud of. The program wraps up with a celebration screening where students get to share their finished work. Best of all, there's no cost to participate and no registration needed—just drop in! Feel free to bring your own lunch, or prepare one at the library during the program. This is an ideal activity for creative teens looking for a summer project that combines learning with fun collaboration.
