Teen Short Film Challenge @ Gibsonville Public Library (Ages 13–18)
Six-week filmmaking workshop where teens write, shoot & edit a short film.
Over the course of six weeks, teen participants will collaborate to create their own short film from start to finish. Students will learn filmmaking fundamentals while working through the entire production process—writing the script, designing shots, filming scenes, and editing the final product. This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to develop creative and technical skills while working as part of a team.
The finished films will premiere at the library's Summer Reading celebration, giving young creators a chance to showcase their work. The program is completely free and operates on a drop-in basis, so no advance registration is needed. Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or they can prepare a meal at the library during the program.
