Teens Sketch the Galleries
Teen sketching workshop in the galleries at NC Museum of Art.
Your teenager is invited to spend a couple of hours creating sketches inspired by the museum's galleries. Teens bring their own pencil and sketchbook, then choose whether to follow provided drawing prompts or find their own favorite artwork to draw. It's a relaxed, creative experience where teens can work independently or sketch alongside friends—no artistic skill required, as all experience levels are welcome.
This program is designed for ages 13–18 and is completely free to attend with registration. It takes place in either the East Building or West Building Lobby, giving participants easy access to the galleries and other museum spaces. It's a great way for creative teens to spend a summer afternoon surrounded by art and peers who share their interests.
