Tree Walk with a Naturalist

Join a guided exploration of trees at Prairie Ridge's Jesse P. Perry III Arboretum designed for ages 12 and up. During this 1-to-2-mile hike, a naturalist will teach you how to identify local tree species and share fascinating details about ten different kinds you'll encounter. It's a great way to develop skills you can use on future nature walks and to learn what makes each species unique. Beyond tree identification, you'll also discover how to participate in Nature's Notebook, a citizen science initiative where families can contribute to real research by monitoring plant and animal life cycles across seasons.
