Ukulele Saturdays: Learn-Along

Join Mickey Reed, known as the "Ukulele Lady of North Carolina" and director of the Silver Fleas Orchestra, for a welcoming introduction to the ukulele. You'll learn basic chords, strumming techniques, and simple songs in a relaxed, accessible setting. Up to 12 loaner ukuleles are available if you don't have your own instrument, though you're welcome to bring one. The session flows into a community sing-along where players of all levels can participate together. Lyrics and chords will be provided, and you can play along, sing, or simply listen and enjoy the music. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to brush up on your skills, this is designed as an inclusive experience for adults seeking connection through music. If you plan to use a loaner ukulele, registering in advance gives you priority access to the limited supply available.
