Unearthing Family Stories: Oral History Workshop

Want to preserve your family's memories but aren't sure where to start? This workshop teaches older kids, teens, and adults the basics of conducting oral history interviews. You'll learn practical techniques for asking meaningful questions and capturing the stories that matter to your family—the kind of personal history that might otherwise be lost. We recommend bringing along a family member who you'd like to interview or who might be interviewed, so you can both pick up these skills together. The actual recording won't happen during the session, but having that person there makes the learning experience richer for everyone. A registration is required to attend.
