We Are Stars Planetarium Show (Ages 8+)

Planetarium show exploring cosmic chemistry and the origins of the universe.

Ever wonder what we're made of or where everything came from? This planetarium show takes families on a journey through cosmic chemistry, tracing the origins of hydrogen atoms through to the carbon and molecules that make life possible. The production, narrated by Andy Serkis, connects what we see on Earth to the larger story of how the Universe evolved. It's designed for kids 8 and older, though families with younger children curious about space are welcome too. Your ticket gets you into the show plus general admission to all the planetarium's exhibits. Arrive early or stick around afterward to explore UNC Chapel Hill's research displays, watch live science experiments on the Science Stage, visit the gift shop, or let kids dive into hands-on activities in the Launch Lab. Tickets run $12–$14, and you can purchase them online. Just check the planetarium's website before your visit to confirm exhibit hours for that day.
