Whiteville Teen Science Cafe: Wildlife Storytelling

Whiteville Teen Science Cafe: Wildlife Storytelling

Teen science café exploring wildlife storytelling at NC Museum.

Your teenager interested in wildlife and storytelling? Meet Ben Zino, who turned his childhood passion for reptiles into an impressive career. Ben started his YouTube channel, The Wild Report, at just 15 years old and has built an audience of over 80,000 subscribers. He's now the Curator of Visitor Services at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Whiteville and Creative Director of his popular channel. At this Teen Science Cafe, he'll share how he combines his love of wildlife, conservation dedication, and storytelling skills to engage viewers with local animal species. This free program gives teens a chance to hear directly from a young science communicator about turning passion into purpose. Ben holds a master's degree in Conservation Biology from NC State and works as both a museum educator and content creator. Whether your teen is interested in wildlife, social media, conservation, or simply enjoys learning from people doing cool work, this is a great opportunity to get inspired. The event is completely free to attend.
