Art on the Dot
Interactive art activity for all ages at NC Museum of Art's West Building.
Art on the Dot is the North Carolina Museum of Art's casual, focused tour experience—perfect for families who want to explore art without a huge time commitment. A museum guide leads small groups through a 30-minute exploration of about three artworks, offering insights and encouraging visitors to engage with each piece. The program runs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with three separate tour sessions happening throughout the day and a 15-minute break between each round. You're welcome to join one session, stay for multiple rounds, or make it a regular weekend outing to discover different artworks each visit.
General admission is free, so it's an affordable way to experience the museum together. Whether your kids are art enthusiasts or just curious about what the museum has to offer, these bite-size tours work well for shorter attention spans and busy schedules. Come ready to look, listen, and chat about what you see.
