Your kids will love spending 30 minutes watching live science experiments and demonstrations that bring everyday wonders to life. The topics change from visit to visit, so you might see physics and chemistry in action—exploring ideas like inertia, buoyancy, and magnetism—or learn surprising natural facts, such as how beaver teeth are structured or why bird eggs are so remarkably strong. It's the kind of hands-on learning that sparks curiosity and makes science feel accessible and fun. This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed—just show up and enjoy. It's designed for kids ages 7 and up, though younger siblings are welcome too. Best of all, it's completely free. You'll find the program at Windows on the World on the 3rd floor of the Nature Exploration Center in downtown Raleigh, and it runs regularly throughout the week at various times to fit different schedules.
