Art on the Dot

Art on the Dot is a casual, guided tour experience at the North Carolina Museum of Art designed to give families a focused introduction to the collection. Rather than spending hours walking through galleries, visitors join a docent for a brief 30-minute tour centered on just three artworks. The museum offers three rounds of these short tours back-to-back on weekend afternoons, with 15-minute breaks between each session, so you can pop in for one tour or stay longer and experience multiple rounds. This program works well for families with younger children, anyone new to museum visits, or people who prefer a more manageable introduction to art. Best of all, admission is completely free.
