Art on the Dot
Interactive art activity for kids at NC Museum of Art.
Art on the Dot is the North Carolina Museum of Art's streamlined tour program, perfect for families who want to explore art without committing to a lengthy visit. A museum docent guides small groups through three carefully selected artworks in just 30 minutes, making it an ideal introduction for curious kids and busy schedules alike.
The museum runs three back-to-back tour rounds on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, each lasting 30 minutes with a 15-minute break in between. You're welcome to join one round or stay for multiple sessions to discover different artwork selections each time. Best of all, admission and tours are completely free. This is a great way to build confidence in museum-going and help children develop a genuine interest in art without feeling rushed.
