Incredible Science
Interactive science demonstrations at NC Museum of Natural Sciences Downtown.
Your kids will get to watch a 30-minute show packed with hands-on science experiments and demonstrations. The topics change from session to session, but you'll typically see displays exploring physics and chemistry concepts like inertia, buoyancy, and electromagnetism. Natural science is part of the mix too—expect to learn fascinating facts about things like the unique structure of beaver teeth or why bird eggs are so incredibly strong.
This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed. It's designed for children ages 7 and up, though younger siblings are welcome to tag along. The program is completely free, and you'll find it in Windows on the World on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center. Check the museum's schedule, as this program runs multiple times throughout the week at different times.
