Incredible Science
Interactive science demonstrations at NC Museum of Natural Sciences Downtown.
Your kids can dive into 30 minutes of hands-on science fun through live experiments and demonstrations. Each session explores different topics—you might catch physics concepts like inertia and buoyancy, chemistry demonstrations involving electromagnetism, or fascinating natural science discoveries such as what makes beaver teeth so special or why bird eggs are so incredibly strong. It's a casual walk-up program, so no advance planning needed.
This program welcomes children ages 7 and up and is completely free to attend. You'll find it at Windows on the World on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center. The show runs regularly on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons at 1:30 p.m., plus Saturday mornings and afternoons, so it's easy to fit into your schedule whenever it works best for your family.
