Incredible Science

Interactive science demonstrations at NC Museum of Natural Sciences Downtown.

Your kids will spend thirty minutes watching hands-on science come to life through engaging experiments and demonstrations. The content rotates, so you might see physics and chemistry principles like inertia, buoyancy, or electromagnetism in action one visit, and the next time learn fascinating facts about nature—like what makes beaver teeth so incredible or why bird eggs are designed to be so strong. It's the kind of program where curiosity gets rewarded with real "wow" moments. This is a drop-in program with no advance sign-up needed, making it perfect for families who like flexibility. It works best for kids seven and older and takes place in Windows on the World at the Nature Exploration Center. Best of all, it's completely free. The same program runs multiple times throughout the week, so you can pick whatever day and time fits your schedule best.
