Incredible Science
Interactive science demonstrations at NC Museum of Natural Sciences Downtown.
Your kids will love this bite-sized science experience packed into just 30 minutes. The program features hands-on experiments and live demonstrations that bring surprising concepts to life—think physics principles like inertia and buoyancy, chemistry in action, and fascinating natural world topics. You might learn about the incredible structure of beaver teeth one week or discover why bird eggs are so remarkably strong the next. Topics rotate, so there's always something new to explore.
This is a walk-up program, which means no advance registration needed—just show up and enjoy. It's designed for children ages 7 and up, though younger siblings are welcome too. The program is completely free and runs regularly throughout the week at Windows on the World, located on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center. It's a perfect way to spark curiosity and get your family thinking about the natural world in new ways.
